A bit of history

In 1975, Olivio Vassalli began his interest in bread by buying a bakery in Ferrara. After that, he started to specialise in cold technology, attending various schools and finding out more about the subject. In the 1990s, he founded a new company and started producing the frozen “Coppia Vassalli”, selling it in some supermarkets and shops in Milan. Hence the, “L’angolo del Pane” (bread corner) was born.

Taking part in some of the most important food trade fairs in Italy and abroad, “L’angolo del Pane” presented its new brand “Vassalli Bakering“, and with the “Coppietta Vassalli“, the unrivalled queen of its production, it gained the interest of Italian and international mass distribution.

The structure

Today, nothing has changed quality wise, even if the company has a much greater capacity with the use of more advanced technology developed in 2 production laboratories covering a surface area of 2,000 m2 and a frozen storage system of 150 pallets.

Production capacity

Our system currently has a production capacity of 2,000,000 kg per year with the possibility to double that with the installation of a new production line, still in the design phase.

Hygiene regulations

In order to comply with the requirements of Legislative Decree 193/07, we have developed and apply a self-control plan based on the principles defined by the H.A.C.C.P. method. We are also implementing the quality system with IFS and BRC certification.
